Frequencies of Life
Open, tested code for the rhythms of life, where every claim says how it is known.
The project is a set of small, open repositories. The foundations prove their mathematics; the layers above add referenced data,
models and applications, and reuse the code below them instead of rewriting it. Every claim in a repository's
claims.yaml carries one of five proof levels.
Next, the project turns these rhythms into music and visuals: an album, short science-music videos, calm music with no health claims and a browser music lab. Every note and every visual event will be traceable to its data.
Proof levels
- P Proved
- Machine-checked proof in Lean 4 with Mathlib: no sorry, standard axioms only.
- V Verified
- Verified numerics: interval arithmetic or an exhaustive check.
- T Tested
- Property tests plus shared golden vectors, identical in every language.
- R Referenced
- An empirical fact with its DOI, species and method; never called proved.
- M Model assumption
- Stated explicitly as an assumption; never presented as fact.
